James Howard Wins at Michigan

James Howard brought home the victory in the season opener at Michigan International Speedway. James led 63 of the 100 laps en route to the overall victory.

Jacon Schneider came home second, followed by Gary Horsley, Raymond Ritenour II and Paul Covington rounding out the top five.

Gary Horsley won the first 25 lap stage, over second place Paul Covington. James Howard finished third, followed by Damie Long and Ray Ritenour fourth and fifth.

James Howard won Stage 2, with a last lap pass over Paul Covington who finished second. Gary Horsley finished third, Jacob Schneider fourth and Jack Honeycutt fifth.

Mac Cook started on the pole with a lap of 38.940 seconds. Jacob Schneider started on outside pole with Damie Long third, Paul Covington fourth and Jack Honeycutt starting in the fifth spot.

James Howard leads the standings earning 30 bonus points in the event. James holds an 18 point lead over second place Jacob Schneider. Gary Horsley sits third, Ray Ritenour fourth and Paul Covington rounds out the top five.

With his overall race win and Stage 2 win James Howard currently has six Playoff Points and Gary Horsley has one.
